Academic Senate
The College of Health Sciences (COHS) Academic Senate provides the organizational framework that enables the faculty to exercise its right to participate in governance of the College of Health Sciences, including the School of Medicine, the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Program in Public Health. The COHS Academic Senate determines academic policy; sets conditions for admission and granting of degrees; authorizes and supervises courses and curricula; and advises administration on faculty appointments, promotions and budgets.

Diversity and Inclusion
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion for Health Affairs was established in 2018 with the objective of promoting equity and inclusive excellence. The office is working on initiatives that oversee the College’s School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Program in Public Health on the UCI main campus, along with the UCI Medical Center in Orange.
